It’s been out for a while now, but for those of you that enjoy reading good books for FREE – you may want to give Stanza a try. Stanza is available for the iPhone, Mac, and PC, and will give you a professor-size library at the click of a button.
What makes Stanza different than most online readers is its capability of downloading, storing, and syncing thousands of free and non-free books to your desktop and iPhone. Stanza gathers sites that offer public domain material such as Project Gutenberg and Feedbooks into one neat list, giving you a vast library of material to choose from.
I’ve been using Stanza for quite some time now, and have read about 4 -5 books from start to finish entirely on my iPhone. It takes a little getting used to, but ultimately it is just like reading a really bright paperback. The choice of books are steadily growing, and if you are an avid reader you should really give it a try. I’ve just downloaded 8 books by G.K. Chesterton, and finished The Blue Cross from The Innocence of Father Brown.
