Episode #15: Get the Liturgy of the Hours in Your Inbox

Posted on 07 December 2009

So, as I mention in the video, one of my most popular posts to date is on how to get the entire Catholic liturgical calendar into your Gmail account.  Well, leveraging off of that same concept, I thought that it would be cool to try and do something similar with the Liturgy of the Hours.  So, using the awesome Universalis site, I tried to find a way to get their RSS feeds to be sent to my inbox so I didn’t have to spend the 5 seconds it takes to bring up Netvibes (yes, I am retarded and lazy, i know).  All in all, I figured out that it is indeed possible to get the Liturgy of the Hours sent to you via email for FREE.  It only takes a little bit to set up, minus the time it takes to watch my tutorial video.

Great tip! It is fantastic to get a personal tour of what you need to do. This format will be VERY helpful, especially for people who don't live their life on the Internet and need their hands held. One thing you may consider putting on your site is the archive of articles by date as well as by topic and most popular. Keep up the good work. Your site looks fantastic.

Just came across your enthusiasm for spiritual sharing via the Liturgy of the Hours.

I'm a former Jesuit who continues to find grace by transforming secular hours into sacred ones. I welcome you having a look at “The Bible Through the Seasons” a unique way to read the whole Bible in three years with sensitivity to the sacred seasons.

Bible Breaths which I post on Twitter, is a way to pray a breath-prayer during the quarter parts of the day, with a vision of people all around the world praying the same prayer together. Would love to converse with you!

Thank you so much Marcy! Yeah, I want to get a tabbed sidebar module going with all of that. It'd make it easier to traverse to older posts.
