029 PC Podcast: Micropreneurship and Multi-Level Marketing

productive catholic podcast

Hey Productive Catholic people!  We are really excited about this podcast!  Why are we excited?  Well,  we are excited because this podcast will hopefully clear up some misconceptions about what we do here at Productive Catholic!

In this episode, Devin brings up two really good topics.  The first topic is the difference between entrepreneurship and micropreneurship.

Here’s the deal, we know that not everyone is built to create the next groundbreaking technology, send a man to mars, or create the next revolution in communications technology.  However, all of us have some talent that we can use to earn a little bit more each month for their family.

That’s micropreneurship!

Next we talk about something that Dean is not a big fan of, and that is multi-level marketing (or network marketing).  We’ve all been in a situation where a friend or family member has joined a multi-level marketing group and tried to get us to sign up under them.  We”ll talk about the pros and cons of this kind of model and why Dean doesn’t feel that this model is an actual business.

As always, we love your questions and comments for the show.  If you want to be a part of the show, don’t hesitate to shoot us your question via email.  We’d love to answer it!

    Hi Dean,
On you’re comments regarding Multi-level Marketing, it seems that you’ve had a lot of negative experiences with these businesses. I hate that this is the case. Personally, I know many many people who’s lives have been positively and radically impacted in every way because of their involvement in a Multi-level Marketing business. For example, I know multi-level business owners who are Christians, husbands, fathers, and great employees because of the values and principles they would not have learned otherwise.
I just wanted to encourage you in being a little more open minded to the benefits of such systems and in turn encourage others who want to pursue them.
I hope your podcast is a help to many and you continue to provide a positive service to those that can benefit.
    All the best,
    Adam
